Have you always been thinking of learning Chinese, but don't know where to start? Or you've started but found yourself bump onto the Great Wall and felt struggling to continue? On my teaching journey since 1999, I saw a lot of local students trying hardly to study Chinese character by character, sentence by sentence and couldn't get the essence. It's so easy for English speaking learners to get frustrated by the confusing sounds & tunes, the random long vocabulary lists, and the difficulties to memorize the stroke orders etc. So I created this book "5 Ways to Enjoy Learning Chinese" to share some interesting experience which helps keep your enthusiasm in a long term without boring memorizing struggles, and bring some relaxing inspirations to your study. How did they learn Chinese? and more ....
My wife, who is Chinese from Taiwan, spotted my computer this morning. At the time, I was reviewing your text slides which discuss Chinese characters. She was very impressed that you are teaching the history and development of the characters and not just the characters alone.
